This secluded country villa is just 10 minutes drive from Comares and on the outskirts of the Montes de Malaga National Park. The main road winds through the tiny village of Los Ventorros, with its bar/restaurant and small shop.  Here one turns off onto a well-surfaced, but narrow road, which, until recently, was just a track. 

Follow the road down,  with Mazmullar Mountain rising up on your right, sloping down to “arroyo Conca” (the stream) on your left.  The villa is situated in an acre of land, in a peaceful olive grove, which has easy access from the road and ample parking. Paths and steps lead from the villa, down the steep slope through avocado, lemon and orange trees, to the little stream below.

Mazmullar Mountain, known as “La Mesa” (the Table), due to its flat top, was once inhabited by the Moors and remains of one of their ancient water systems can be found at the top.  Wild boar still live on the mountain and many species of bird inhabit the area, including Golden Orioles, Bee Eaters, Nightingales, Wood Rock Thrushes, and Red Rumped Swallows, to name but a few.

The villa has been built in traditional Spanish style, but is of unusual design with a first floor living room and roof terrace taking advantage of the views across the valley, over hillsides covered in olive and carob trees.  Also on the first floor is the fully equipped kitchen and dining area leading to a further terrace.  There are fans in every room and central heating for winter, all included in the price.

Books, CDs and videos as well as games are provided and there is a wooden table in the games area of the living room where there is also table football.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are situated in the cooler part of the villa down below.
The master bedroom has a large double bed and en-suite bath/shower room and private patio.
Bedroom 2 has bunk beds and a single bed.
Bedroom 3 has a double and a single bed.
The family bath/shower room and washing machine are also on this floor.

OUTSIDE the villa has numerous terraces at different levels, so one can be in the fresh air and catch the sun, or shade at any hour.

At the front of the house, cross the large terrace with facilities for badminton & table tennis.  The private swimming pool with underwater lighting is through a gated archway.  The pool is beautifully landscaped and surrounded by terraces and shrubs and even a shower behind the boulders.
You will find garden furniture and loungers as well as a poolside bar with lighting and CD player with speakers for night time entertainment.

Notes on Prices
Payment is usually in pounds sterling.
Long - term lets are available: Prices negotiable, depending upon time of year and length of stay.

Changeover day
Normally Saturday. We can often be more flexible out of season. Please arrive between 17.00 and 21.00 local time, if possible and leave by 10.00 on day of departure.

Bookings
A firm booking will be made on receipt of your deposit of 25%.
The balance should be paid in full, 6 weeks before the holiday begins.
The deposit and final payment are non refundable, in case of cancellation, unless we are able to re-let the property.

Insurance
You are strongly advised to take out personal and cancellation insurance protection, in case of emergency.
